E/B Long tube on A clarinet
Author: crvsp

Recently got a Tosca clarinet in A. All the notes are well in tune except for the long tube notes (Low E/B) which are about 40 cents sharper than it should be... any ideas as to what might be going on? I'm new to A clarinets, so it may be something I'm missing.

Strange, is it the original bell?
The Tosca has the extra key for correcting the low F. You don't press that by accident?

If I had to guess I would say either the low F correction vent or the low E/B key is not closing all the way. Does the lower joint hold a vacuum?
