stuck Bells on Buffet E11's :(

Ok, so I just bought a used Buffet E11 off Market place on facebook.
I played it for about 10 minutes and realized the keys will need adjusting.
At that point I went to dissemble it and the Bell was stuck fast to the lower section piece
I took it down to my repair person and they are going to hopefully remove the Bell.
The Clarinet had not been played for awhile prior to my purchase and I understand you are going to get some swelling, but that said this is my second E11 that has had this issue.
What needs to be done to insure this won't happen again?
The wood just being dry, or may be the tenon needs to be shaved down somewhat?
BTW I am very happy with the great sound of this horn and at $150 I think I got a very good deal even with the horn needing new Pads and key adjustments

Have the tech shave some wood off from the tenon.

This might be helpful in the future:

If it was supplied in a case where all the joints and the bell is separate, then the tenon rings will need to be skimmed to remove just enough wood to achieve a good fit. Don't sand anything - take it to a decent woodwind repairer as soon as is possible.

Condensation in the bore and collecting between the lower joint tenon and bell socket during playing will cause the wood to swell and the bell to bind to the tenon if it was a tight fit between the two to begin with.
