Luckily I've recently moved up to 3½'s so this won't affect me but it reminded me about the way the entire Quebec Cut was discontinued. The site says people like their new reeds better so it wouldn't surprise me to see the Classics evolve into something else. Something else, more expensive, which involves testing out multiple new strengths until you find that plays with your setup. But then you can look forward a period of happiness and satisfaction — until you read that a new better line is being introduced!

Unfortunately Legere shoots itself in the foot from time to time. I was told a few things by a representative of Legere at the last ClarinetFest that don't seem to be panning out. One would assume that the person didn't "go rogue" and must have been spoken with some authority. My only guess is that Legere just changes its mind ....... a lot.
We'll just have to SEE what happens.

It is easy to imagine that there were discussions at Legere about what is selling well and what is so-so. Then a rumor leaks out on what may be discontinued. Then sales improve. Then they revisit their plans.
