After having enjoyed the long thread here on the Ched mps, I just read this (found thanks to the counterfeit instrument group on fb) and while it's refering specifically to a load of counterfeit sax mps,I thought it was a good 'heads up'. The same warnings could go for clarinets and their mps. The old adage is still good : if it's too good to be true it probably isn't !

Djudy - Very interesting. I've seen reeds come from China that have La Voz reeds stamped on them. Selling for a ridiculous price of 10 reeds for $1.18.

Yes Bob, and how about those lovely 'flute whistles' for 9,99? But the disturbing thing this article reveals is that someone has gotten very good at counterfeiting mouthpieces, even vintage ones. Caveat emptor !!

It's obvious to me that those Links are fake- the tip rail is even, all the Links I've seen (especially the clarinet mouthpieces) have very uneven rails.
