 Evette Clarinet with H serial number

I'm trying to purchase an Evette sponsored by Buffet Crampon clarinet online for $180. My only major concern is that the serial number is H247xx. Looking online I find that the same clarinets have A, K, and other letters, but not H. First time to buy a clarinet online and I would appreciate the information. Upon inspecting the instrument, its not wood.

Would this be a good purchase for the price?

I have seen a few H:s so it is probably authentic. If it is a good purchase depends on the condition. For $180 it must shine.
