I won't comment on your 2 posts asking about different clarinet brands. I've played them and many others but I don't want to interfere with other companies and their sales.
I'm trying to lead people to try a lot of different instruments. This is my take on horns. Try them all. Forget what people say and forget if 99 percent of your friends play on Buffets.
Play on what feels best and what plays in tune throughout every register. I'm using Yamaha's the CSVR's and with a reverse tapered barrel of the A clarinet.
I've played it in several major symphony halls from Washington DC to San Francisco, getting standing ovations at every concert. So would I have gotten a standing ovation on other horns? Probably, but these horns have the right resistance for me and the Buffet A clarinet suffers. So I sold all 16 of my Buffet collection. The Yamaha horns are not that expensive, half the cost of Buffet's lowest line. The Buffet A clarinet scares me above high C when playing high F I often worried if that F would turn into 2 notes higher to high A. So I was never happy with any of the A clarinets. I have no fear with the Yamaha A clarinets.
I also like the Selmer line but they cost a lot more.
So test out a lot of horns. Even some German made that are referred as the reformed. A good friend has a set from the 1980's and they are really nice. So a used set is a nice idea.
Let me know what you get. Also read below what I wrote on mouthpieces. I think testing a horn with an amazing mouthpiece is a must.

I own 3 have have owned as many as 5 over the years of different bores and materials. I used to play Buffets and Leblancs, but play Rossis exclusively now.
