If you use a 2,5 vandoren you should use a stronger European cut reed. The European cut plays much softer than a standard Vandoren. I’d say a 2 3/4 works similar to a 2,5 vandoren.

As far as mouthpieces go, if you like the feel of a b45 I’d recommend the B40. The wide tip rails or maybe the longer lay allows the European Cut Legere to work well with it. Gregory Agid plays a B40 with 3 3/4 Legere EC and he sounds in tune and very beautiful. So it is possible.
