I think you're looking at the images of saxophone mouthpieces. The offensive images I found replicated the offensive look of the originally offensive sax mouthpiece stencil. I can't find one of the clarinet mouthpiece.
Can you point to an image of the clarinet mouthpiece?

It seems to be an obligatory ritual or "rite of passage" for mouthpiece makers to offer a copy or interpretation of a vintage Chedeville clarinet mouthpiece. And part of the ritual often entails invoking the name of Harold Wright. Personally, after decades of trying countless mouthpieces, the only ones I've found that let me sound anything close to, say, the way Wright did in his recording of the Strauss Duo Concertino with bassoon, have been "off" brands based a A. Lelandais blank that happened (by random variation?) to have a medium (neither narrow nor wide) slightly A-frame tone chamber and ran rather narrow in the bore. And that probably says more about my own playing anatomy and production than about how the same the mouthpiece will work for somebody else. Imitations usually capture the round mellowness without the focus and luminosity, or some of the focus and luminosity without the round mellowness. Wright at his best had both sets of qualities in his musically adaptive tone. Of course that quality of tone came more from him than it did from any mouthpiece.
I can't say anything about this one because I haven't tried it, and we never know how we will sound on a mouthpiece from listening to someone else play it. Still it is better to hear someone play it than not to experience it at all.

Of course I am not the only one suffering from "technical difficulties." The website lists the two tip openings as .10 mm and .104mm. Now THAT'S a small tip opening! [they mean 1.01 and 1.04.......we all know that]

I think it's more accurate to say it's a running joke that mouthpiece makers who aren't yet household names offer an obligatory copy of a Chedeville and/or a Kaspar.
In my experience, it has become plainly apparent that today's established mouthpiece artisans incorporate new and better ideas in their original designs.
I've been down the "vintage Chedeville" road before, and I'm more than content to let bygones be gone.

Time will tell as we are not like other makers, we have the best reverse engineering and some great senior advisors, and good ears. And an Interlocking CC's original Ched from the 1930's. Anyways I always prevail when I sell and have my heart in it! take care

The facing length is 36 as measured with a Morgan mouthpiece glass and .0015 feeler gauge.

I apologize, what is the conversion for 36? Is it possible to express that in millimeters from the tip to the point where the reed and mouthpiece come together?

My Original Interlocking CC's 1930's Charles Chedeville Paris Mouthpiece whis is the title of this thread...
we reversed engineered the piece, it took, over a year, we have a great CAD engineer who used to do medical stuff and now runs MacSax, CNC milling my companies sax mouthpieces, its a darn great copy. I guess time will tell.

By Old Buddy Gene Cipriano who is 90 and still doing session work
has a Brilhart Hard Rubber 6* that Tex Beneke gave him in 1949 when he was in the band, its a beauty, thats on the list some pieces are rare but have no pull for decent sales.
