My advice?
In stead of etudes, learn all your orchestral excerpts, to the point you can play ALL the standard excerpts perfectly at the drop of a hat. Etudes are fine, but they don't get you through an audition.

Yeah, ya know that is excellent advice. I spent years treating orchestral excerpts like Venetian glass, just waiting for the day I was ready for them.
Bill Wrzesien of the New England Conservatory made a point of excerpts being part of your daily routine. His system was to have students compile a collection of the top required excerpts and sort them all by speed, and articulation (fast/slow, staccato/legato). Then you take an equal number of the different categories and put them into four packets. Each day you pull one packet and run through that packet's group of excerpts.
That's one way of organizing and making sure you keep them under your fingers. If orchestral auditions are in your future.......that is a MUST!
Oh, and I have to add another idea that was revelatory for me. A more recent professor/performer (forgot name) has suggested that while in school (conservatory or equivalent) you get a group of your buddies together to perform excerpts in an ensemble setting. It is much easier to appreciate what is going on musically and dynamically when you can hear things more in context. And, your flute playing, oboe playing, string playing friends often share the same moments in the same pieces.

For rhythm, a good book for any instrument is "Modern Reading Text in 4/4" by Louis Bellson. Whether played straight or swung, the patterns put to the test reading and playing fine distinctions. No pitches are indicated, so stick to one note to refine a pattern, then try it with a scale pattern extending across measures.
A companion Bellson volume provides exercises in other meters besides 4/4.
More complex juxtapositions of rhythms are in "12 Rhythmical Studies for Clarinet" by Marcel Bitsch (spell it carefully). Editions adapted to other instruments are also sold, so be sure to get the clarinet edition.

I assume that you are looking for something besides all of the standard tried and true methods. I would suggest taking a look at the etude books by Sam Sadigursky

They are challenging and throw challenges at you that you may not expect. At the same time they are enjoyable and musical.

A couple that weren't mentioned yet are the Jettel series "The Accomplished Clarinetist", Opperman's Chordal Sequences, John P. Russo's 20 Modern Studies (2 books), Frantizek Zitek's 16 Modern Etudes, and of course my own book.
