 ligatures for contrabass clarinets
Author: Ebclarinet1

Have been doing more playing with my Eb and Bb contrabass clarinets but I'm not entirely happy with any of the ligatures. What do others of you use?

I'm using a Walter Grabner mouthpiece on both of my horns (a Selmer and a LeBlanc), which I like the best of the mouthpieces I've tried.

Thanks for your opinions!

I finally decided to have a custom Silverstein ligature made for the contra as I so enjoy them on my other clarinets. The Rovner was the best of the others I tried but it still felt muffled. I'll let everyone know my results!
