I have been attempting to play an e flat clarinet I found in a cupboard years ago and have found that it doesn't have a barrel or indeed capacity to take a barrel. As far as I can see it consists of a bell, the main body and a mouthpiece. I can't see any other examples of this on the internet and the makers mark looks like buffet but isn't very clear. Does anyone know anything about this style of clarinet ( and what I can do sans barrel to make intonation a bit easie. I'm not just missing one it affixes straight on to the mouthpiece.
Thanks in advance
