Yes, I could have went in the injection mold direction, but I embarked on an experiment that has not been explored. Where's the upside in working on something that has been done and redone countless times?

3D filaments offer completely different materials that I found intriguing and were worth testing. The materials I use for manufacturing do not crack or warp over time, including my wood material. Printing also allows me to alter the physical makeup INSIDE of the parts by rearranging a series of settings. So while I maximize the infill that the material is deposited, I make adjustments to how it's done, and these fine tunings affect how the barrel, etc. responds. Customization is the key here.

Coming from a family of engineers, I know the potential possibilities of this technology. Keep in mind this is the same technology that is now building homes and human organs. Printing is still a young science and I plan to evolve the product line as it evolves.
