Some info:

This is a fairly typical French stencil clarinet. Whether the price you paid was fair depends on a lot of factors:

•Is it in good condition?
•does it play?
•is it wood or hard rubber?
•does it have any cracks?

Assuming it is a wood clarinet that has recently been seviced then you spent what I would consider to be a fair amount for this instrument. If the instrument was bought "as-is" and needs work to play then this could turn into and expensive project instrument. Did you buy it from a music store?

Thats good news. I would say you've bought a nice gift for your girlfriend. Some french stencil clarinets can be really good players. Keep in mind that most instruments will benefit from a "tune up" so if you want to make sure it is in tip top shape you can bring the clarinet to a local repair shop to have someone check it out. Otherwise I would say you've made a good purchase.
