I found several listings for a Yamaha "Y-12" clarinet. They obviously have the mouthpiece model mixed up with the clarinet model. All the clarinet models listed on the Yamaha site begin with "YCL". The earliest is "YCL-22".
In the images above you can see the mouthpiece is clearly a Y-12. The horn is a Yamaha by the bell (you can see it in another picture), but there is no marking on the top joint.
Anyone know when Yamahas were produced without a stamp on the top joint? Are the early ones any good? This is to fix up and sell.
