Ravel E flat PC ephur part.

Good evening.

I am working on the 3rd movement part for the E flat Piano Concerto of Ravel for an audition. I have attached a picture of it for easy reference.

1. Are the off beat eighth notes in bar 22 tenutos? All the 8th notes in my part are marked staccato, as is the excerpt in Peter Hadcock's excerpt book. Interestingly, there is a note in the excerpt book to "observe the tenutos and play loud[ly]!" I have seen parts that are marked tenuto, but the "part" I have looks like a Finale job, possibly from IMSLP.

2. Any advice for playing the passages beginning at m. 62? I play the squeak C#, but wondering if anyone has any trick fingerings for the F#/G# exchange! I could lip the A natural to get the G# but that seems risky for an audition.

Thanks in advance.

In bar 27 the score on IMSLP has tenuto. The parts we use in orchestra (Edition Durand I believe) also has tenuto.
In bar 62, keep the fingers as close as possible to the keys. Before you play the F-sharp, the left hand little finger should already be touching the G-sharp key. When passing from G-sharp to A, both fingers should rise the same distance. If the little finger moves higher than the 3rd finger the interval won't be clean.
