 Counting Question
Author: BGBG
Date:   2016-08-18 02:45

Attempting to write a song like I think it sounds or I want it to sound but lost in the counting/writing thing. Can anyone tell me how to count what I believe to be an eighth note tied to a dotted quarter note and two joined eighth notes (barred), which I believe makes one measure of 3/4 time.
If if sounds like I want it to then I am not sure how to write and count it. Have had no training in this but working it out on my own and need some tips.
