Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could give me an approximate age and a rough guess of value for this clarinet
It's a B&H regent clarinet serial no 273157

Hi. My list dates your clarinet to 1966. I can't comment on NZ prices, but in Oz, depending on condition, it might fetch $A80-150 on EBay or $A180-300 from a music retailer.

Tony, have you got the official B&H serial number list? I used to have one from the '80s but that's long gone. The last time I saw the same one it was pinned up on a noticeboard in Merton Tech (South London) in 1995.

Unfortunately not. I have the list from "Clarinet Perfection" and I also have a pdf of the B & H archive detailed handlist, which gives details of woodwind and brass production of Boosey & Co, B & H and all their various aliases. If you'd like it contact me offnet and I'll send it to you.

I've already seen those lists and they're the best resource as most online B&H serial number lists are around twenty years out (even if the publishers say otherwise if you try to tell them).
