In Book 1, Exercise No. 7, this measure occurs. I don't understand the first grace notes in that measure: A# to Bb then to the note that's Bb. I looked in IMSLP and that's exactly how it's printed there, so I don't think it's a printing error. However, it makes no sense to me. Would someone mind explaining this to me? THANK YOU!

They are errors, even though different editions may repeat them. The first grace notes are e-f, the next are b-c, F#-g, c#-d, g#-a, d-eb, a-bb and e-f, or the normal way to do half-step grace notes in each case.
The correction is printed in David Hite's "Cyrille Rose 40 Studies" and he identifies the original violin etude as "Gavinies No. 10 in b-flat minor." You might be able to find the Gavainies etude at IMSLP.
Hite also restores a good many deletions and other changes that Rose made to the originals. I actually enjoy playing Hite's versions (restorations?) more than the original Rose editions.

This brings up an interesting point. I have run into a number of decent players who are also sticklers for following the ink as if it where the Ten Commandments.
My advice is to treat "print" like any other human endeavor. There can and will be errors; let your musical judgement rule the day.

definitely most music has print errors. Some of them are intentional. either so you will want to upgrade to a newer book later. OR so they can re-copyright it, and not be accused of plagiarising another edition.
