With weather currently changing I expect my reeds to be feeling a bit different. What I find strange is that all of my previously well balanced reeds all seem to be much firmer now on the left side only. It really is all of my broken in and balanced reeds. 12 in all, two models of Vandoren and one of Gonzales. Shouldn't the change in weather be affecting my reeds as a whole, not just on the left side..??

Maybe you balance them asymmetrically. Then the change will be more evident on the heavier side.

If all your reeds play different, your mouthpiece may have warped. Try a different mouthpiece, or take your main one to a specialist refacer to measure what's wrong and perhaps fix it.

Thank you all for your replies. I really hope it is not a mouthpiece issue as Brad Behn refaced this one for me about six months ago.
Silversorcerer: at current my reeds are all in plastic Vandoren reed holders. My reed case is still full of older reeds that still work.
I will try it again today (including older reeds) to see how things go.
Thanks again.
