Hi, just try it and be critical. Big chance your Patricola is a better instrument.
Price seems ok (in Euro?)

Isn't Patricola ahah, is Leblanc, is different. I have a Patricola and is good, very good clarinet, but i need a clarinet that is not meant for classical music and that is not so heavy than patricola (because is very very heavy instrument... my thumb is suffering) . Or Selmer Or Leblanc.

The price is in Euro, But there may be negotiable.

450 Euros is an excellent price for a Leblanc full Boehm in any condition.

I had an LL full Boehm which was a great clarinet, but I much prefer Selmers so I sold the Leblanc to a former colleague of mine for £1400 (GB£) but I had fully overhauled it and added an adjustable thumbrest.

Hmm, well a full boehm clarinet is also more heavy due to its extra length and extra keys. And my experience is that a selmer 9 full boehm is more meant for classical music than the simple boehm versions that have bigger tone and are more flexible to play. Check also the altissimo register on a FB: for some notes you need a different finger position.

But try as much as possible and good luck! You can find many FB clarinets for a bargain as they are not very popular nowadays.

Thank very much!

However it not seems but patricola is very very heavy instrument, comparated to full boehm i tried for example a Selmer 10 full boehm i tried isn't so heavy, is different wood. Patricola is in grenadilla and is a wood completly different than other clarinet... and patricola still make Full Boehm clarinet but are expensive... 3800-4000 and rosenwood for +200€ (circa). And i think is very very heavy in full boehm system. To have a idea patricola weight 800 and other wooden clarinet I have weight 600... and is very big the difference.

I never tried Selmer S9 to be onest, but i tried Selmer S10 but to fix... (price is 600 with reparation), i'm searching someone who sell but or are far or they sold...

Today I "tried" the clarinet.
The case wasn't original and the mouthpiece was cristal buffet crampon.
The clarinet miss a pad and some pad in upper clarinet don't close, so, I wasn't able to stabilish the quality and the timbre of instrument... And a key was very retort...What a shame... I try to do my price but the lowest price he wants to sell is 300...
However the serial is 60000<, I don't remember the interest number, or 58905~ or less but not than 50000<, between 50000 and 60000...

One thing that is funny is the seller who continuous to say the clarinet is perfect and the cork are new and good... Maybe are the only thing it could saves in the clarinet, but isn't new... Were ruined

That's a pity.
300 + repair costs is still not much but it is a risk to buy it without being able to test is properly.

By the way: Crystal buffet crampon mpcs can be very good!
I have two '5' models that are my best crystals.

He calls me for the price
200 euro!
But first I have to call my repairer to know if the problem of the key could be fix

However jeroen it's true... it could be a good deal... or not...
The mouthpiece isn't easy to find but i don't know if is wanted...

Is that an LX or L7? It has the mother of pearl disc inset into the top joint above the logo which the LX and L7 had. I thought Leblanc offered just the LL in full Boehm form, but have since seen they also offered some Noblets as full Boehms and now this one which isn't an LL,

It looks like it can do with a complete rebuild and a good oiling as the wood looks very dry - my Selmer CT full Boehm was far worse looking than that, but has since scrubbed up well and is my primary clarinet after having a full overhaul.

The barrel looks really short on that - the standard length is 67mm but that looks like it's nearer 62mm which may be fine for some players, but I wouldn't be able to use a barrel that short without serious intonation problems as I prefer to play on a 67mm and pull out by around 1-2mm.

Have it repaired by the best repairer possible so you get the full benefit of this clarinet. The replacement value of this clarinet is most likely in excess of €5000 if you were to buy a new full Boehm from a top maker (which Leblanc was), so it's definitely worth spending top money in having it repaired properly.

So, today finnaly i get my instrument completely fixed and repaded (60+100) and the sound is very very very incredible, different than patricola and other instrument. Intonation praticaly perfect! I'm so happy to play this instrument! the only shame that is late here in Italy to record myself, i tried but there's no sound... i promise tomorow i do a audio!

Thanks everyone and thanks Chris P :D

No, is completely different, in the audio i use a used reeds and pomarico mouthpiece one start. Lower altissimo to reach C7 is very powerful, isn't out of the tune... Is very incredible. Is very precise and not create armonics. Very very different than patricola :D

Just for the record here: Leblanc also made a Full Boehm Symphonie 3. I acquired one in playing condition recently, but it still needs a bit of work before I can comment on how it plays.
