I just rebuilt a plastic Evette and it is very hard to play any of the notes on the lower section. Notes in the upper register are even harder to play on the lower section. Notes are weak and take a lot of effort. The wife played it and has the same opinion as I. There are no leaks on the upper or lower section. Is this a characteristic of the Evettes or did I do something wrong? It seems to effect all the notes on the lower section so I am at a loss as to what is wrong. The jump key appears to be working fine. Most of the clarinets I have rebuilt are Noblets or Normandys, or Selmers, all of these came out fine.
Any ideas

"Is this a characteristic of the Evettes?"
I have a few Evettes and they play just like all the rest of my Vitos, Bundys.

Check to see if the bridge is preventing the top most pad of the lower joint from closing all the way.........could be an easy fix. Check by turning joints so the bridge is NOT engaged and see if this helps the lower joint notes.

It is a leak. Check the ring heights. The leak may be under a finger.

It is a leak. The middle joint was a little loose. I did not think it was that loose but it must not take much.
