I have a question on the scoring of the above.
If you'd be so kind:
1) Please go here:

2) In the Sheet Music Section half way down the page click on the “Arrangements and Transcripts (16)” tab.
3) In the second musical part listed after the "Full Score," i.e. the "Clarinet Solo," click View. Depending on your browser, you might have to press the “+” or “-“ keys in the upper right hand corner to get the music to appear.
4) At section 6, is there any good reason that I am missing as to why the first throat A# is assumed from the key signature, but the second one in the next measure stipulated?
Every recording I hear plays both measures identically, so I don't think the first "A" was meant to be natural or flat. Was someone trying to make a point here, other than "don't forget, the A is still sharp in this measure too?"

Maybe whoever decided to put the courtesy A# in the second measure thought the D-natural might sucker someone into forgetting the key signature. There doesn't seem to be any question that both measures are meant to sound alike.

It is also a way of maintaining the particular harmony at the time. Adding sharps, flats, and naturals even though they are in the key signature just reaffirm the chord and harmony. In more recent times it has become more like the way Karl describes.
