Hi,
I have a pair of wood clarinets. The make is Buffet Crampon. The Bflat dates from about 1980 and the A from about 1984. I stopped playing them in 1985, since when they have been in storage. I am reasonably sure the model is R13, but I can’t be certain as there is no model number. ‘Both say Made in France’. The serial numbers are 200xxx and 267xxx.
Attached a couple of photos.
Anyone on here know how to determine the model?

The R13s do not have any model designation stamped on them.
From memory the serial numbers given sound like the Buffet professional range of the 1980s so most likely they are r13s.

The serial on the Bb is similar to my R13, which I've traced to about 1982, so the Bb is likely an R13, as for the A... your guess is as good as mine.

Thew serial numbers are more or less correct for the Buffet professional models at that time. The R13 never had a model written on it, so that's what they are if they never had a model number on them (if you remember). You can also check if there is a part cut out of the wood under the right hand pinky keys, which is also a sign for R13.

Thank you all for your messages. Given that there is no model number and there is a semi-circular cutout under right hand pinky keys, I'm concluding they are R13s.
