I've got a number of Clarinet Books that Nilo Hovey has either written, or collaborated on.
I find all of them all to be very melodious and enjoyable to play.
I think I have even become a bit of a Nilo Hovey groupie and recently bought one of his endorsed Mouthpieces off eBay {grin}
Quick question does anyone know if his Practical studies for the Trumpet exactly mirror the Studies for the Clarinet, or are they different and thus worth buying
I'd like to pick up these books as you can get used copies pretty inexpensively on the Internet

Hi Ben -
I enjoy Hovey's work as well and use it often with my students. He didn't write the First Practical Book for trumpet. He's only the editor on that.
Somehow I wasn't aware of his Second Book of Practical Studies for Clarinet until recently. It's also very good and starts where the first book leaves off in terms of technical development.
