If money was no object, would there be any reason to buy a used clarinet over a new one?

One example being R13's from the 60's some people say that R13's from the 60's are the best because of the wood or something, but my point is some old clarinets might be better than newer ones. It's all based on how it plays and if how it plays fits your style.

There are some vintage models which have remained popular but have no equivalent available for purchase new. The Selmer Centered Tone is a good example of this.

An awful lot of the things that I've bought new have had some sort of early problems that needed sorting out before whatever it was performed to spec. I have no problems with a good used clarinet that has had the bugs worked out and has been properly set up.
