Next semester I'm gonna do my final recital to get my Bachelor in Music, I'm thinking about the program and I'd like to know if you can give me your opinion and suggestions.
Programme (for now):
Hommage a Bach - Bela Kovacs (3min)
Trio - Johannes Brahms (25 min)
Three studies for clarinet and piano - José Siqueira (Brazilian composer, 7 min)
Sonata - Poulenc (13 min)
I'd like to do a recital with 50 min, not more than 55 min.
I dont know, but sometimes this program look a little "normal" to me, I'd like to put a really good piece in the final, for a big close, maybe a really challenge piece but I dont know if Poulenc is that piece.

I would really recommend weaseling a solo piece in there. It's really fun to let the audience hang on every note; I find it much more intimate and enjoyable. People will be there to hear you, not the accompanist Here are a few of my favs at or under the 5 minute mark:

Hommage a J.S. Bach (Kovacs) IS a solo piece.

The recital recording will be your calling-card for career advancement. If you're a performance major, you'll need to show off advanced techniques (multiphonics, electronics).
Look in The Clarinet for the reports of graduate recitals and faculty concerts.
Start building a reputation as someone who adds to the repertory. Get one of the composition majors to write something for you.
If that fails, and Harlekin seems out of the question, try Immer Kleiner.
Do you know of Harold Emert https://www.facebook.com/harold.emert?fref=browse_search? He's principal oboe in Orquestra Rio Camerata and very active on the double-reed boards. He may be able to give you ideas about how he structures his recitals.

I wanna do a recital for the audience, my university hasn't a requeriment about repertorie, so I want to play pieces that keep the audience's attention.
My big questions are:
- Is this programme too "light" in terms of clarinet technique level? Maybe I should replace the Hommage a Bach for a more "heavy" solo piece?
- Should I put the Brahms trio as the opening?
- is the Poulenc sonata a good closer?

I'm always a fan of the Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco Sonata as a closer. It's lengthy and heavy at times by the last movement is a great bit of fun and enjoyable to hear played well and at the right tempo. I think it's more technically difficult than the Poulenc and affords more musical opportunities.

Sorry for the distraction but the title had me thinking this was going to be for a "Bachelor's Party" and had me scratching my brain. You didn't say if you were playing Bflat,Alto or Bass. I was thinking of "Libertango" on Alto.....
