Hi all,
First post for me, although this site has been a valuable resource for me for years.
After a few years of not a lot of music I decided to set myself the challenge of performing the Shaw Concerto this year, which actually (to my surprise) went well. In fact this challenge has probably got me playing better than I ever have at age 33.
So time for a new challenge, and although I'm working on Rhapsody in Blue for fun, I'm thinking something a little more technically demanding. Hence, Flight of the Bumblebee.
The question is, what editions should I look at? I have the Rosanoff edition from ISMLP, but am wondering if I should be working on one of the other editions?
I have heard several good performances of the Rosanoff edition on Youtube, and I believe that this is the original key (D major).
Thanks so much, all, for the great advice you didn't know you were giving me all these years (I'd never have got the gliss without it). Looking forwards to hearing from you.
