I can only play a few measures until the reed and mouthpiece are saturated. Using Legere reeds but have tried cane without any discernable difference. Have tried spitting out as much moisture as possible before playing but it becomes wet again too quickly. Any thought on medications or food that will help to dry out my mouth?

I have the same problem. When things get too wet, I close my mouth and suck out and swallow the saliva. This gets my mouth drier than spitting does.
If this isn't enough, consult your dentist or an ENT specialist.

Mind over matter and a visualization technique: when your mouth is too dry, you imagine you are sucking on a lemon. When your mouth is too wet, you visualize yourself playing the clarinet in the desert of Yuma, Arizona. You won't have to do this for the rest of your life. Sooner, rather than later, your mouth will find itself responding to playing the clarinet by not being too wet. It will associate playing the clarinet with more dryness.
