Dear reader,
Recently I bought a Es clarinet with the following details:
Brand: V. Kohlert's Sons Kraslice
Made in Czechoslovakia
Serialnumber: 301002
The 2 mainparts of the clarinet have the same serialnumber
In other forums I found that this clarinet probably is manufactured between 1918 and 1930.
Is there someone who could give some more information about this clarinet.
At the moment it is in a poor state, but I intend to have it refurbished.
Any information is welcome, thanks in advance,

I haven't played a Kohlert Eb clarinet of that vintage but have restored, played (and own) quite a few Kohlert Bb soprano, alto, and bass clarinets from that time period. I believe your clarinet was made in 1930, or right around there (I don't recall where I saw it but someone once wrote that the first two digits of the serial number indicated the year of manufacture --- might not be true but it's close).
These are very good instruments once restored properly.
