Josef Clarinets

Hey all,

Has anyone had any experience with the Japanese-made Josef clarinet brand? I had never heard of them until two days ago. Here's their site:

I tried some sets a few months ago. The sound is very different. I found the intonation unmanageable. Not for me.

They started out as an oboe maker, hence the keywork on their clarinets.

Interesting to say the least - especially the way they fit threaded metal bushes into the bodies of their piccolos to screw the ribs onto which is a good idea.
