 Leblanc Noblet used, deal?

I just purchased a really good wooden Noblet repadded and oiled, etc for under $200. No cracks and all functions as it should. Very good condition along with great case. Did I get a deal. It plays very nice, much better than my old Yamaha. Any advice is welcomed. Thank you.

You certainly got it at a reasonable price. They are available for less, but they generally need work, which adds to the real price. If yours is in good condition, pads and corks are OK and it plays in tune, then you got a good buy. The're a very under-rated instrument, as are most Leblancs.

You still ask? Not many opportunities to buy a bit of happiness at that price. :-)

Congrats, you have found the "sweet spot", at least in my opinion. Is your Noblet an "N" or a "D" or an "ND" ? The "D" Noblets are the older and slightly less desirable ones. Is it a model 40 or a model 45? The model 40 will have either an oval circumscribed around the logo or a rectangle that looks every bit like a television screen. The model 45 will have a diamond around the logo. The newest ones, the ones made recently will have a completely different style of logo, something similar to a mountain. You can look yours up at this URL: http://www.clarinetpages.net/vintage-odd-brands/noblet-1

all work done to it costs at least $200; if it was done well you got a good deal.

with respect to 40 vs 45, 45 will have a diamond shaped logo and 40 will be tube-TV oval. 45 has gold plated springs and better wood selection, otherwise the same good luck

It has the oval logo and is in great condition, little wear on a few keys, cork is excellent, no cracks, and she blows real fine! Thank you all for your valuable information.
