OT -- checking in

Sorry about the OT post, but I'm on borrowed equipment at the moment and just wanted to tell those of you with whom I correspond privately that I'm not dead or anything, but I haven't had e-mail accesss for more than a week and probably won't get access for another couple of weeks at least. I live in Virginia. My 92-year-old dad in California fell on pavement, dislocated his shoulder and broke his arm pretty badly. Family living near him took care of things for the first few days, but they're not available for extended full-time care. Dad doesn't have a computer. My computer is a hulking desktop -- no time to buy a laptop and set up all the necessary crap before I hopped in a wheel-well ... okay, kidding about the wheel-well ....

Losing my lip ....

Hoping that he recovers/gets relief quickly. At 92, nothing is quick.

Best wishes for a healthy recovery for your dad. He's very lucky that you can stay and take care of him.

Actully he's lucky he did not also break a hip. I had a similar situation a few months ago.............all the best!!!!!

Hi, fellow clarinerds! Sorry to revive an OT post, but I'm checking in again on a borrowed computer to say that I'm still in California with my dad. He's mending but it's going to take some more time. Sorry if I seem to be ignoring private messages, but I don't have email access right now. (My dad doesn't have a computer.) I'll probably be out of touch for at least another three weeks.
