I appreciate your help, but either we are lost in translation, or have different experiences.
As per the attached picture, the tenon on the M30D is longer than that of standard Boehm mouthpieces, while the circumference/diameter/radius of the tenons of the 2 mouthpieces appears to be identical.
The M30D is on the right. I've drawn two lines where each mouthpiece tenon ends and the mouthpiece section begins. A removable rubber ring sits immediately below where the tenon on the M30D begins.
