The tenon isn't any longer than a regular Boehm mouthpiece - they offer narrow and wide tenons on their German mouthpieces, so see which one is best suited to your barrel.
If the narrow one is still too wide for your barrel, the tenon rings can easily be turned down so the mouthpiece fits.
