1) Does anyone have information on the serial numbers for the Penzel Mueller Double Wall metal "Clari-Met"?
2) if insufficient information is available, is there a way to determine if a particular Clari-Met is in the key of "A" or "Bb". I suppose barrel to bell tip would be a good indicator, only it can be tricky with bore sizes, etc.
There is no indicator on the horn other than the serial number.
*This is the Double Wall metal CLARI-MET and not the single wall metal Clari-Met.
Buffet Bb R13
Evette-Schaeffer Bb
Auguste Buffet Bb Enhanced Boehm (circa 1920's)
Selmer Silver Bb Full Boehm (Nov 1930)
C.G. Conn Metal HP Bb Double Wall (1895)
Silva-Bet Silver Enhanced Boehm Bb (1930)

2) assembled Bb (with MPC) is ~26.5", A is 28". bore sizes inconsequential.
Clarinets of that era should have LP or L stamped, if not and shorter then 26" it is HP and useless for anything but historical and some obscure use.
