I just got my R-13 out of the shop today. Had a complete overhaul except no key re-plating. Cork pads on upper joint and Valentino green back pads on lower joint. All corks on the joints and keys were replaced. The horn plays like a dream now.
I just want to give a shout out to Rob Bulgozey who did this awesome work for me. If anybody in the Columbia area needs are fantastic woodwind repair tech feel free to PM me for Robs contact info. He does great work and is very reasonable with his prices.

May be a little further, but don't forget about Phil Muncy and crew in Vilas, NC. Also excellent work.

I use Muncy Winds for many things and overhauls, but a good local tech always comes in handy for a quick, but good quality fix at least.

Yeah, Muncy is several hours away from where I live. I buy all of my reeds and other clarinet stuff there and was thinking about shipping my clarinet to them for overhaul but found a great tech in Columbia.
I took my clarinet to this guy this past Tuesday and it was ready yesterday evening. That doesn't happen too often.
