New to the Clarinet world.
Ive been poking around the Internet for a used Horn and came across a 1956 LeBlance Noblet Clarinet with an asymmetric register key by I believe Robert Lowry.
Is this something that you would want, if so why?
Or would you avoid an older Clarinet like this?
The Clarinet as new pads, corks keys oiled etc.

Is it a standard lever speaker key with a different shaped touchpiece or is it a half wraparound speaker key (the speaker tube is on the side above the top trill tonehole)?
They still fitted the half wraparound speaker key to some Noblets well into the late '80s.

The photo of that arrangement doesn't show it in detail. It doesn't look like a wrap around arrangement at all. Don't have a clue about Lowry.

Robert Lowry was the name on a fine LeBlanc clarinet that I overhauled about 10 years ago for a student. The name was engraved on the side of the asymmetrical register key. He may have been from Minneapolis but I've forgotten the details. I also thought the name was Lowrey.
