I watched the whole trilogy. I completely saw myself in the segment of applying the reed and ligature & the microscopic readjustments.

I simply do not understand how some professionals can slap their reed on the mouthpiece and in one deft motion secure it with the ligature. It takes me no less than 15 seconds to get it where I think it should be and then I revisit the position a few moments later. I DO close one eye when I'm positioning the reed.

I think because after a while you get used to the feeling of where the reed should be for you and don't really have to so much look to make sure it's perfectly placed.
