In Rico Reserve MPs, and the new Vandoren models, can someone correlate the openings with these Vandorens?

There is a data chart at the Vandoren site - http://www.wmaker.net/vandorenenglish/file/142491/. Look at page 2 of the PDF for tip openings and curve lengths.
The tip openings of the Reserve Classic mouthpieces are identified by the facing number - 'X0' is 1.00 mm, 'X5' is 1.05 mm, 'X10' is 1.10 mm. I'd say the Rico mouthpieces are about equivalent to Vandoren's "ML" (medium long) curves, so an M13 or M13 Lyre are near to the facing of a Rico X0. A VD mouthpiece with an opening a little closer than 1.05 but a slightly longer curve (long) - M15 - may be roughly equivalent to a Rico X5. A 5RV Lyre is roughly the same tip opening but a little shorter a curve as an X10, so they're the closest pairing at that tip opening.
That said, the internal designs are different enough that I don't think you'll find that equivalent-looking facings of each necessarily have equally similar playing characteristics. Without knowing why you're asking the question, I'd say you really should try Ricos and Vandorens on their own terms and not try to compare them directly.

Hi KDK!
I'm asking because I want to buy an easy-blowing MP (getting old), but I don't want to buy something radically different from what I play now. I don't play the 5JB but I do play the others (along with a signature Woodwind model, stamped Robert Marcellus). Even thought of a Morgan Protone for its easy-blowing characteristics.
I play jazz, ballads and up-tempo stuff, and once in a while some baroque stuff (Loeillet, Bach, Handel, etc). and I switch MPs accordingly.
That's why I'm asking. I have a little Vandoren sheet that shows all the older MPs with all dimensions, and I want to select among similar specs.

There are some fine players that switch out mouthpieces for various playing characteristics (Frank Cohen, Allesandro Carbonera to name a few) but I'd say a vast majority vary style and volume completely from the "user" level. I'd recommend sticking with one good mouthpiece.

So the Reserve 10 is closest to the 11.6......., Reserve 5 close to 5rv.. O is likely a closer mouthpiece than any you mentioned. 5jb and B45 are more open than any Reserve mouthpiece.
