I've a question for those familiar with the Buffet Prestige bass clarinet models 1183 and 1193, low Eb and low C respectively.
I'm looking for a replacement neck for the Buffet Prestige 1183-2 low Eb.
Wondering if anyone might know whether the neck on the Buffet 1193, low C, is
basically the same dimension as the 1183 and whether the necks are therefore interchangeable.
Cheers.

They should be as both Prestige low Eb and low C models have the double speaker mechanism with the crook key.
The student model Buffet bass doesn't have a crook key.

AFAIK they are not just "basically the same dimensions, but exactly identical. 99% sure.
At least as far as their manufacturing tolerances. I have two 1193 necks and if I change only the outer part, the fit is sligthly different i.e. they vary slightly in tenon/socket diameter but not enough to make it a problem to use. The tenon to the body is indistinguishable in fit.
