I am trying to email Tom Ridenour to buy some replacement abrasives but his email addresses are being bounced back. Does anyone know if there is a problem there? I have tried sales@ridenourclarinetproducts.com and tom@ ridenourclarinetproducts.com. Both email addresses are being bounced back to me!

I just use about 300 (can't remember if 240 or 320 or something like that) and 400 grit wet and dry sandpaper cut the right shape.
Easily available. There is nothing special about the abrasive.

It's automotive grade no load abrasive. The strengths typically included are 320 and 400 although you can use other grades depending on your preference.
We never claimed theirs anything special about the abrasive.....the crux of the system is the instructional booklet and DVD's.
We're currently working on a problem with our email.

Ted, can I ask a question about ATG - not related to pricing or availability?
My biggest problem in using it was that I haven't found a good, removable adhesive that will hold the paper in place. I don't want to make a permanent bond, so glues are not the answer. I've tried rubber cement and double-sided tape, but neither was strong enough to hold the short folds around the sides of the block - they just let go. I think the original papers that came with it may have had sticky edges, but as I remember they didn't hold to the block well, either. I always wondered why the block wasn't made with some kind of mechanical holders that would secure the paper so it wouldn't move during use. When I use the ATG block these days, I just hold the edges with my thumb and one finger on each side, but that isn't completely comfortable.
Any suggestions?

I just use double sided tape between the block and paper and elastic band around the paper and it works well.

We actually use a rubber band now, as someone mentioned, that has seemed to work well for our customers (few if any complaints that I can recall).

Not intending to lose Tom any business (I'm a big supporter of his instruments, and a repeat customer), but why not just use a foam sanding block from a paint store?
They come in various grits, can be cut down to smaller sizes if you care about that, and they're washable.
They work fine for me.

The most important part of the ATG system, although their essential, is not the tools.....it's the intellectual properties contained in the instructional booklet and DVD's.

Tom's absolutely correct, and he deserves to benefit from developing the system.
That's why I bought the ATG, though I use my own glass and sanding blocks.
