 Leblanc Clarinet for Student
Author: mom2three

Hi! I am looking to upgrade my son to a wood clarinet for indoor band. I have found three different Leblanc clarinets available in my price range, and was wondering if one would be better than the others. They are:

a vintage (tv shaped logo) Noblet 40
a newer (new pyramid logo) Noblet 4
a VSP

All have been recently reconditioned (including new pads and cork). Can anyone tell me if one of these is better than the others for a student? All information is appreciated. THANKS!!!

All these are good, I have a VSP which is excellent, at least in my mind. In one of his posts (http://clarinetcorner.wordpress.com/2008/01/03/step-up-right-here/) Sherman Friedland says it is as good as his Opus.

My VSP was on a par with my other Leblancs, which were Infiniti and Concerto Models. But, try before buy!! Very important.
