 Adolph (Bud) Herseth Has Died

The one of the brightest stars of the Chicago Symphony, the great principal trumpet Adolph (Bud) Herseth, has died at the age of 91 http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/columnists/rhein/chi-famed-cso-trumpeter-adolph-herseth-dead-at-91-20130414,0,3552357.column.

His musicianship is an inspiration to players of every instrument.

A fine musician and who overcame great physical challenges to continue his career. Mr. Herseth was from the golden era of symphonic music in the States; his passing is a great loss indeed.

-a much loved figure, and the great Chicago Orchestra wouldn't have been the Chicago orchestra without him. Here in Europe, he was regarded as the greatest orchestral trumpet player by his peers.
