Ha! Got your attention.
Actually, I have skimmed over the old Evette discussions.
An Evette by Buffet (which it says on the case), with serial number D7327, labeled "Evette Paris France Made by Buffet-Crampon"...how old is this clarinet? It doesn't belong to me but the original owner had it as her student horn back in the early to mid '70s, I'm guessing.
I'm taking it to a repair person today to see if, with an overhaul, it would still make a good student clarinet. The owner wants $100 for it.

There's no doubt that it could be a good student horn, it evolved into the B12. As to cost, if it's in good general condition with no major damage it could be a good buy. I've seen them go on EBay for less, but my local music shop sold one for $350 about a year back.

The D-prefix Evettes were wood, not plastic. They evolved into the E11. $100 is about what I would expect the clarinet you describe to bring on e-Bay. Fixed up, it could be a decent student instrument but you should remember that a student instrument as old as this one might not always have been well cared for and could have developed serious problems. You are wise to have a good repair person look it over carefully before you buy it.
If it has no structural issues and the repairs don't go much over $200, I think it could be a reasonable option for a student instrument.
The serial number list for Evettes at clarinetperfection.com is for those that have a D prefix. I think it's probably accurate. It is consistent with information I found in the lookup database (no longer available) Boosey & Hawkes used to maintain when they owned Buffet. That would suggest the clarinet you are looking at was made in 1966.
Personally, I'd ignore the discussion of these instruments at clarinetperfection. Some of it is probably accurate but I find too many comments that are at best, ambiguous and, at worst, self-contradictory.
Best regards,
jnk

Thanks, all! The overhaul and repairs would run about $200. For $300, a student could likely find a newer student model clarinet.
This clarinet isn't mine to sell or buy. I am doing research for a friend. I've learned much about the Evette, though.
