Barrel length for Leblanc LL in A
Author: clarimad

Can anyone tell me an optimum length of a barrel for an LL in A? The current barrel is 65mm but is nearly a semitone sharp which suggests something longer though I do wonder what it would have originally been supplied with.

The stock barrels on Leblanc LLs are usually 67mm - both Bb and A use the same barrel.

Best looking on eBay.com (the US site) for barrels if you get no luck with UK eBay.

Mine (bought 1960) came with 66mm, I agree that both Bb and A used same length and were identical slight reverse taper so interchangeable.
With VD crystal A1 however I use 64.5 or 65mm.
