 LeBlanc Paris serial numbers

I have a LeBlanc Paris bass clarinet with a different serial number on the top and bottom piece. However, these numbers are in sequence. Are these clarinets ever manufactured as such or should the serial numbers be matching?

I'd suspect that the place that originally sold the instrument assembled a bunch of new instruments for play-testing and then mixed up the bits when packing them away. There's probably someone else with the same problem.

Darn. It just seemed almost too coincidental that out of all serial numbers they ended up in sequence.
