I am trying to find details of a Clarinet I have had for about 40 years now. It's been in the attic all that time gathering dust.
It is marked J.F. Beeson London S.E.
I am hoping to find out about the maker and his history and of course its VALUE...
All I have found on the web so far is - "A J.F. Beeson Rosewood clarinet, three section, with nickel plated keys and mounts, in original leather mounted case. 24in (61cm)".

Is it Beeson or Besson?
I have seen a very old French system Bassoon made by Besson which is probably close on 100 years old.

Just for my own sanity, and poor eyesight, here is a blown up photograph of the marking.
