There were probably a few threads about this before, but anyway... I recently started playing with a multieffect pedal. I considered getting specific effects and other options, checking everything I could for a couple of years, but in the end more than 100 effects for 1.5kg that can get into a small bag pack won easily.
I use a barrel/neck pickup for amplification, preferring that over clip on microphones (which I also use sometimes).
Here is a small sample, not super accurate cause it's just a random doodle...

Anyone else using effect pedals?

Yup. I found a DigiTech vocal effects pedal works well, and the ultimate adjustability of each parameter makes for some impressive sounds. I also have a Boss delay/pitch shift pedal that I put in line with the DigiTech, but unfortunately, the Boss pedal was discontinued years ago. I use standard microphones for the recording, and will usually run two mics, one with full effects, and the other clean, and mix the two. Fun, isn't it? Randall
