One of my students has an old Bb Clarinet (standard Boehm) that is called an 'Artcraft'.
It has a serial number of 2001 and is made in Paris. This pipe is blackwood.
Anyone ever heard of such a make before ?

Four more details about this instrument. I estimate that it is at least 50 to 60 years old. It has nickle plated keywork and the wood appears to be of good to high quality. No problem getting it to sound A440 either.

Looks like I'm destined to be answering my own enquiry. I've did a search of CBB and typed in French stencils and came up with a possibility that this is what this pipe is. But what a involved subject it is !
