 lip swelling from playing?
Author: oca

My friend's father quit playing clarinet because he claimed that playing clarinet negatively influenced the meat of his lip causing a sort of swelling effect.

I was immediately skeptical; however, I have noticed my embrochure going down the drain and my tone quivering because of an uncontrollable muscle spasm in my lower lip after just a few minutes of practice.

I am beginning to feel my lip grow "meatier"; however, I am not sure if this is just my brain tricking me. Is lip change a result of playing clarinet?

If that is not the problem them I have lip quivering to deal with. I have looked at the previous posts and I still can't diagnose it.
